Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) provides a range of accommodation options directly on Tirumala hill, within walking distance of the temple.

Tirumala Cottages (TTD)

INR 200 - 1,500/night

TTD operates several guest houses and cottages on Tirumala hill. Options range from dormitories (INR 50 per bed) to AC suites (INR 1,500). Includes Sri Padmavathi Guest House, Srinivasam, and various cottage complexes.

Tip
Book at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Rooms are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Check-in time is typically 8 AM.

Tirumala Dormitories (TTD)

Basic dormitory accommodation for budget pilgrims. Clean rooms with shared bathrooms. Blankets and pillows provided. Separate dormitories for men and women are available.

Walk-in basis at Tirumala. No advance booking required for dormitories.
Tip
Available on first-come-first-served basis. Best to arrive early in the day for availability.

Choultries (Free/Minimal Cost)

Free - INR 100

TTD runs free choultries (rest houses) at multiple locations in both Tirupati and Tirumala. Basic shelter with fan, lights, and shared bathroom facilities. Ideal for single-night stays.

Walk-in only. Allocated at the spot based on availability.
Tip
Carry your own bedding for comfort. Available for a maximum of 24 hours.

🏨Private Hotels in Tirupati City

Tirupati city (at the foot of the hills) offers a wide range of private hotels and lodges to suit every budget.

Premium Hotels (4-5 Star)

INR 3,000 - 10,000/night

Full-service hotels with modern amenities, restaurants, swimming pools, and temple shuttle services. Located in Tirupati city center, 20-25 km from the hill temple.

  • •Hotels near Tirupati railway station offer the best convenience for early morning departures to Tirumala.
  • •During Brahmotsavam and Vaikunta Ekadasi, rooms get booked months in advance. Plan ahead.
