🙏Temple Prasadam
Tirupati Laddu (Sri Vari Laddu)
The world-famous Tirupati laddu is the most iconic temple prasadam in India. Made from besan (gram flour), sugar, cashews, raisins, cardamom, and ghee, each laddu weighs approximately 175 grams. It has a GI (Geographical Indication) tag, protecting its unique identity.
Vada
Crispy medu vada served as prasadam, made from urad dal batter deep-fried in oil. A popular offering alongside the laddu.
Daddojanam (Curd Rice)
Temple-style curd rice prasadam prepared in large quantities. Seasoned with mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, and ginger. A comforting and sacred offering.
Pulihora (Tamarind Rice)
Tangy tamarind-flavored rice prasadam prepared with traditional temple spices. A beloved South Indian temple offering with a distinctive taste.
Pongal
Sweet or savory rice-and-lentil dish prepared as a sacred offering. Ven pongal (savory) is made with rice, moong dal, pepper, cumin, and ghee.
🍽️Free Annadanam (Meals)
TTD operates one of the largest free mass-feeding programs in the world. The Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complexat Tirumala serves free meals to approximately 50,000-80,000 devotees every day. This is a fully free service funded by donations and TTD's Annadanam Trust.
What's Served
Meals typically include rice, sambar, rasam, vegetable curry, curd rice, buttermilk, and pickle. The menu may vary daily. All food is purely vegetarian, prepared in hygienic conditions in massive kitchens. The dining hall can seat over 5,000 people at a time.
🏪Food in Queue Complexes
TTD provides food stalls inside the Vaikuntam Queue Complex (VQC) and other queue areas. These stalls serve snacks, beverages, and light meals at subsidized prices so that devotees can eat while waiting in the darshan queue.

Good to Know
- •All food served in Tirumala and the temple complex is strictly vegetarian. Non-vegetarian food and alcohol are prohibited on Tirumala hill.
- •You can carry water bottles and light snacks into the darshan queue. Heavy tiffin boxes and large food containers are not allowed.
- •The Tirupati laddu prasadam stays fresh for about 5-7 days at room temperature and up to 15 days if refrigerated.
